Successful recovery of deleted photos

Ashampoo GetBack Photo is the perfect program to recover lost or deleted digital pictures. With the help of the effective search function photos are found and recovered in next to no time.

Ashampoo GetBack Photo locates deleted files on different storage devices, e.g. memory cards, smartphones, USB hard disk drives. Not only accidentally deleted pictures are found, but also photo files that went missing due to formatting or a defect on the hard disk drive. Furthermore, image files are found that are embedded in other file formats such as PDF or Word documents.

The recoverable images will be displayed in a thumbnail overview, in which the photos, which should be recovered, can be selected easily. In order to avoid quality loss the photos are not decoded and saved repeatedly, but the original image data are kept. Together with the actual photo also metadata, e.g. EXIF or IPTC, if present, will be found and recovered as well.

Supported formats and storage devices

Storage devices that are present in the system can be scanned. Among these are hard disk drives, USB flash drives, memory cards, USB hard drives, smartphones etc.
All common file formats are supported. These include JPG, PNG, BMP, PSD, TIF, GIF, HDP, APCDOC, PCD and many current RAW formats, e.g. Canon Raw 2, Adobe DNG, Nikon NEF etc.
