Ashampoo Home Designer Pro, the newest extension of the Ashampoo CAD & Construction software series, combines the straightforwardness of creating ground plans with the freedom of individual design.

The new start wizard offers different options to get started with a project. You can for example watch training videos first, or open a sample project and edit it. The fastest and easiest way to start a project is to use the project wizard. In two easy steps you can adjust basic settings for your project and draw the outline of a floor or room on the basis of different shapes.

Planning gets even easier with the construction and input aids. You can for example use guide lines and numerical reference points to exactly place objects. If you’d like to create several identical objects, for example chairs around a dining room table, use the function “multiple copy”, with which you can create any number of copies of the desired object with just a few clicks.

Ashampoo Home Designer Pro contains all constructive functions to design whole floors or buildings. Predefined elements like walls, ceilings, staircases or roofs also make planning easier. Complete your project with elements from catalogues containing windows, doors, solar elements etc. When you designed a floor, the software provides the option to copy the whole floor, and this way a multi-storey building is created in seconds.

If you’d like to create buildings with clinker constructions or insulation, this is no problem either. Just use the layer construction option for a detailed presentation of the layers of walls, ceilings or floors. These layer constructions can also be saved to a catalogue.

With the Ashampoo Home Designer Pro you can use different views to look at your project. In order to get a realistic image of your project use the 3D view. In the 3D view you can rotate, pan and also zoom in and out of your project, in order to look at it from every angle. The 2D view shows the exact ground plan of your project. Of course you can use both views parallel, for example to already see your project in 3D, when drawing the ground plan.

Ashampoo Home Designer Pro offers a big selection of catalogues with different textures for your rooms. To change walls to your desired color, for example, just select all walls of the room and place the desired color on the walls using drag & drop.

Of course you cannot only fit your rooms with wallpaper and flooring, but also arrange them perfectly with furniture, lighting and accessories. The extensive catalogue contains 2D and 3D objects, to furnish your rooms according to your wishes. The furnishing catalogues also include many real existing objects from well-known manufacturers, in order to enable more exact and true-to-life planning. All objects can be inserted and moved easily with drag & drop. With only a few clicks in the settings, objects can also be copied and scaled accordingly.

Besides your personal dream home, you can also plan your dream garden. Create a realistic garden with 3D modeling with different terrain forms, like hills, swales, walls etc. You can also insert (flower) beds, paths, terraces and water courses. In order to complete the draft of your garden you can insert garden furniture and many different 2D and 3D plants from the object catalogues.

Lifelike design

Advanced visualization features ensure a lifelike 3D view in the Ashampoo Home Designer Pro.
All objects in the 3D view are almost depicted realistically. Among other things the ray tracing feature is used for this. It calculates the incidence of light on objects. Using ray tracing it’s also possible to adjust the settings for ambient occlusion and ‘smooth’ shadows. Antialiasing adds to an improved realization of objects.

Adjust the individual sun and moon position settings in order to create realistic lighting conditions for your project. In the settings you can specify the location of your project, set a date and time as well as adjust the light intensity of the sun and the moon.

In order to make your project even more lifelike, it’s possible to add people to the 3D view. The object catalogues contain a folder with many 3D images. These people are shown in lots of different situations, for example walking with a stroller, on a bike, playing and in lots of other situations.

Personalize your project even further by importing your own images and using them as background. This way you’ll get an even clearer idea of what your new home will actually look like in a certain environment.

Export

When you completed the plan of your project, you certainly will want to turn these into reality. For this Ashampoo Home Designer Pro provides several, effective functions.
Create lists of all objects, furniture and materials as PDF, RTF, XML, HTML or Excel file. This way shopping is more comfortable and you can easily calculate the costs of your project.

Furthermore you can create bitmap images of your plan. These may include different views including the ground plan. The lists and images are not only valuable reference material, but are also extremely helpful when hiring contractors.
