The program combines photo management, image editing, presentation, and creative output in a clearly structured Windows application. Photos can be conveniently browsed, sorted, rated, optimized, and prepared for different purposes. Features include batch processing, duplicate search, slideshows, collages, greeting cards, printing functions, metadata support, and tools for everyday work with large photo collections. The new version focuses especially on helping users find important photos faster. Automatic portrait detection filters selfies, portraits, couple shots, and group photos with a single click. The analysis runs in the background, takes place entirely locally on the PC, and requires neither cloud access nor an internet connection. This keeps images on the user’s own computer while making suitable people photos easier to find. The browser has also been improved: The duplicate filter works faster with large collections, thumbnails are processed more efficiently, and the redesigned Classic Miniatures style presents names, dates, file sizes, and orientation more clearly. The Save As dialog has also been modernized and now offers clear presets for JPEG XL, WebP, and JPG. JPEG XL is loaded and saved natively, while AVIF is loaded natively, each including metadata. In addition, Photo Commander Pro 27 supports very large files such as PSB, BigTIF, and gigapixel formats, as well as RAW, TIF, JPEG 2000, JPG, SVG, and APCDOC.
